I actually made it out to the junk stores again. Not the most incredible haul, but here's hoping in a couple months things will look better in a lot of ways.

I vividly remember watching Hail Columbia! in an IMAX theater in the early 90’s. Maybe even at Kennedy Space Center? Or the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum perhaps. I remember those small boxes of video… it’s was mostly because there’s a sweet spot on the curved IMAX screen for those smaller bits… things on the edges are “immersive” but can be pretty distorted. Lots of IMAX films from that era used the whole dome selectively. There were like 7 of those NASA/IMAX films and they were at every single space museum/planetarium/NASA visitor center in the 90s. I bet that LD version looks pretty good. You can get most of them on Netflix or another streamer now. Definitely brings back memories!
