MONDAY BLOG: TWANG!

Morning all. Happy Monday.

So, best laid plans and all that… we got up early on Saturday to head out to film. I sat on the edge of the bed, and… TWANGGGGG. Put my back out.

Can’t even blame it on age –I’ve had back issues since I was 21. It’s just the family curse unfortunately. We did try – we got as far as the train station, and it was pretty clear I couldn’t really walk.

So… I spent the rest of the weekend dosed up on painkillers, doing very little, and just trying to rest it. I don’t think it’ll be fixed enough today to film, but we’ll try again tomorrow.

But! Today we will film something for you at home. We’ve got the Q&A to do, so if you have any other questions, post them below and we’ll get around to as many as we can.

We’re actually meant to be filming with Gannon at the end of the week but, again, that’s a sofa video (no – really). Should be fine, though our schedule has been knocked a bit out of whack thanks to my feeble spine.

We’re using the time to get ahead in other ways though; I’m putting together the intro of the first Po-Po video (yes: even though we haven’t been yet). I’ve got something very specific in mind for it, so I’ve been writing the music and started animating it. There are bits and pieces of voiceover we can do now too.

We’re working out a third video to do while we’re over there; we had one planned, but it fell through because the location is closed for renovations until the spring. We're still going there - we just can't stay overnight.

And no, I'm not saying where it is... yet.

BEAN THERE

I think we're going to take a punt and move ahead with Beanus Live. We should hopefully have some more news on that later this week. We might talk about it a bit more in the Patreon video too.

I'm REALLY excited for it. Ryan from Barshens texted me the second I shared the teaser image on Instagram. He's more excited than we are.

We're still discussing Digi Level 3 (or whatever it'll be called). Both Sanja and I are keen to do that as well. It does feel like we've emerged from hibernation after the past year, and are raring to go.

Bad backs notwithstanding.

Comments

Bad backs are just the worst, I've had one now for about a month and it sucks, hope you feel better soon Paul.

Careful what painkillers you gobble. try and rotate different ones and avoid the opi8s as much as possible. Naproxen is a good short term NSAID. And Baclofen.. fer ya back.
