This still isn't 100%, but I can tell you it WON'T be happening on September 22nd, as Harrow Arts has something else on that night.
But... I thought I'd explain why it seems to have come out of nowhere.
Basically... we'd been planning to do a Digi-related live show next year. However... we met up with Gannon yesterday, and he told us he wants to do a Cheapshow live in 2026.
There's too much crossover with our audiences to sustain two shows in a year. Maybe we could've done one in 2027, but, frankly, the last time we did a show the year after Cheapshow live... we didn't sell as many tickets. Which meant we'd be looking at 2028 at the earliest.
We're keen to kind of give the community a chance to get together again sooner rather than later - and we're also thinking about something that's Patreon-exclusive again around the show.
We considered a possible double-header thing with CS, but two nights seemed too much for people last time, and doing two shows on one night seems impractical. And, let's be honest, then there'll probably be egos in the way about who gets top billing etc. etc...
Plus, in all honesty, with half of Cheapshow's audience already not liking me, and another handful currently trying to cancel me for playing around with AI (Gannon received some pressure from certain people telling him to put out a statement damning me and distancing himself from Digi... ) I really don't know how comfortable I am in front of a CS audience these days.
Which sucks a bit, because there's loads of stuff he wants me and Sanja to do with them this year, and we want them to do Digi stuff still.
But anyway. It is what it is. See me sigh now.
That's why we kind of have to do it this year, so we've brought our plans forwards - and the sooner we announce it the better. Ultimately, it comes down to whether we can afford it. Lots of you have already said you'll try and make it.
Whether we can sell enough tickets... I don't know. It's a different time. We can look at smaller venues - and have in the past - but Harrow Arts works so well for us for so many reasons.
I'm going to continue to gauge interest over the next couple of days, but - even if you don't normally comment on here - it'd be really helpful to hear if you're interested in principle.
