Hello Patrons! It's time for an update as I hate this silence I'm putting you all through.

I am headed back to the Hospital with Mom this coming Sunday. I'll be gone for just a couple days. This is a visit to look at her liver (A re-check from the last visit in late December/early January) and determine if she's developing cancer there or not.

Life is hitting me hard right now. Full stop it's- been a burden on me since Dad passed to deal with everything. I'm managing but it's...

But as a warning: I'm going to be headed back to the hospital again this coming Monday. I'll be gone for either a single day, or all week. It depends on what they want to do with Mom as she has some liver trouble they want to look at (in spite of them saying she's ineligible for transplant).

Mom's health and the future.

Okay folks. Today is a heavy news day.

The Hospital made their decision.

In light of mom's mental issues and general health, they have elected to *not* put her on the liver transplant list.

Their fear is that the trauma of the transplant, the time she'd need to spend in the ICU, and the recovery will have an exacerbating effect on her mental state, and they cannot trust her to take care of herself long term as a result. This is in spite of my willingness to be aro...

I took a dinky sketch commission way back in December (Look at that signature date!) on a night before recent events happened because I was in a decent mood and thought I could rapid fire a few of them between where I asked and here- and well that didn't pan out so good!

I'm starting to attempt a feeling of normalcy and part of that means getting back to the canvas. I got this complete finally and it's absolutely not as rough or as sketchy as I wanted it to be (I can't help myself but ...

The future again.

Did I say I had free time? Haha...

Here's how the future is shaping up.

My mother has been confirmed to have the very beginning signs of cancer in her liver. That's treatable! So much so that the hospital wants to treat that before they'll do a transplant.

The downside is they'll only do that kind of treatment in house. It takes a month. So Mom and I will be headed back north in about 2 to 3 weeks. We'll be up there for a month!

The near future!

In the face of adversity I press on. The tablet will be set back up soon. Free time is slowly resuming as I learn all about Dad's business deals.

However the train doesn't stop. This was set in motion before Dad and I went north back in October.

Next Sunday, the 29th of December, my family will again travel north and be gone for a week+a few days. Mom has to get a series of tests to see if she needs a liver transplant.

Once we get back- assuming...

This is life.

He lost the fight. My dad has passed on.

Sketch Commissions in the future?

Okay- pending how this next week goes and Dad continues the slow slow journey towards improvement-

I'm contemplating simple sketch commissions. They'll be cheap, and rough, but low price. Just something to get me working.

More info after a day or two once my family (Who are flocking because of Dad's condition) settle a bit.

The boy cried wolf.

And there was no wolf to be seen.

Dad's not out of the fire yet but by goodness he's stronger than we all knew him to be. I cried so hard yesterday and today not a tear escaped me because I feel confident the danger is so much less than it once was.

I don't know what the future holds but I've been graced once again with a few more hours, days, weeks, hopefully months, and ideally years with my Dad thanks to him defying the odds once more.

Hello again friends, fans, patrons.

Forgive me for not keeping you all in the loop as often as I should. It has been a roller coaster and tough. Dad got a second infection that reached his heart and now his heart may be too weak to continue.

My family has been summoned. The doctors believe that the fire has gotten hot enough that such action is warranted.

Today may be the day I have to make a terrible decision.

I have now been up North with my Dad for close to a month and things started out fine. He got his transplant and we spent a good week and a half paling around in our room.

Then things went south. Fast. He got an E-coli infection once his old immune system was fully gone. Infected his bloodstream. Kidneys shut down. Liver hit. Some fluid in lungs. Couldn't breath.
