MONDAY BLOG: EP 6 IS ON ITS WAY... YOUR THOUGHTS FOR THE FUTURE?

Happy Monday, gang.

Sorry to bore you all with our roof again – but it’s done! Well, almost. He has to come back this week to finish some cement work, but we have a leak-proof house once more. Symbolic.

Thanks for the nice words about Digi Level 2. A lot of you are saying it’s one of the best things I’ve done, which is lovely. It has upped the pressure for Ep 6 somewhat, but I’m very proud of it. We’re going to put it out on Thursday, with a premiere at 7pm if you’re around to join us in the chat. Gannon should be there too. You’ve got another couple of days to watch it before it switches off to prepare for the premiere.

It has been nice to go back to the show after all this time and remember how enjoyable it was to make. Yes, we have six eps of Drong’s Challenge still to come, but… I don’t think this is the end of us doing that sort of show. Digi Level 3? We’ve been discussing it.

Though… after the amount of time this has taken, would anybody still trust me to deliver a Kickstarter if we crowdfunded something else? I dunno. Thoughts?

I just want to make more – and it’s good to have an outlet for weird nonsense, which doesn’t always fit with the main channel direction these days. Oh! And remember the Man’s Daddy joke book? I’m still working on it. So that might happen this year too.

But anyway. That’s all a way off yet. We still have to get rewards out. I’m going to get Ep 6 done, then we’ll be back to doing some main channel stuff for a while before we think about what our next big thing is. What’s nice is that – at last – we feel we CAN think about doing another big thing.

We’ve been talking about Patreon as well, and we’re aware that the tiers have become a bit… woolly. Writer’s Club has sort of fallen off the radar, in part because the podcasts about writing never seemed that popular. However, we have had an idea for it – which is to offer commentaries on episodes. It might have a bit more appeal. Dunno. Worth a shot! We’ll also do a Biffo’s Brain next week – obviously not this week if we’re doing a Digi Level 2 premiere.
