NIGHT AT THE HAUNTED MUSEUM - TRAILER

I just watched the last half hour of the football, to see what the fuss was about. That was a waste of time.

Anyway.

We had a LOT of fun on Saturday, and it was just what we needed. I did manage to hurt my neck and sprain my ankle – don’t worry, both incidents are caught on camera – the latter of which got worse over the night, as I spent eight hours on it walking up and down stairs. It’s nice and swollen today. Suffering for me art, as always.

Oh! And we managed to film a mass brawl in Peterborough town centre. Whether that makes it into the video I don’t know, but man…! I knew Peterborough had a reputation, but still…

And yes: I have a new ‘summer’ outfit; I managed to find a waistcoat in the same, material, pattern and colour as the coat. Of course, it got filthy almost straight away, but that’s what I get for trying to put my head in a mysterious pipe.

It was lovely to see everyone who came along to the ghost hunt; Tom and Rob from Channel84, plus old friends Ryan and Ashens. Gannon was in his element, and organised an excellent evening – basically, leading ghost hunting parties is what he used to do every weekend, for groups of up to forty.

We were fortunate to have such a small group and access to the entire museum. It meant we could break off into small parties and have entire floors of the building entirely to ourselves. Including being locked in the cellar…

It was a completely unique experience – if you ever get the chance to do a ghost hunt, do go. It’s a lot of fun regardless of whether you believe in the supernatural or not, and even Gemma, who was co-hosting with Gannon, had a healthy dose of scepticism.

Sanja was bricking it from the off. I gradually got swept up by the oppressiveness of the darkness and her nerves, and by the end… well, you’ll see. It’s chaos. As usual. I don’t know how good the camera work will be, but at least it’ll give you a realistic reflection of how scared Sanja was!

It should feel like a nice mix of Supernatural World and our current Digi format. That said, we’re definitely going to do a proper Supernatural World closer to Halloween, with Eli. We were also talking about hiring out another ‘haunted’ location at some point with the same gang, as I think this is going to make a very special video.

So, first half of this week I’ll be steaming forwards with work, so I can get paid. I’m actually working on a video game at the minute (as well as Nikki Heald’s brilliant Quantum Witch 3000). Don’t know if any of you are familiar with an indie title from a few years back called Monaco, but I’m helping with the script on Monaco 2. Really enjoying it so far.

After that, I’ll be focused on Digi. I did a little editing today (Sunday) – the first five minutes or so of the episode, and a trailer (see above!).

We need to set up to record a conclusion/debrief for the ep, and we’ll aim to do a Writer’s Club at the same time. BYAMPOD is still on hiatus, just because we need to prioritise right now, given everything we've got going on, and with little Marillion news at the minute, there’s no urgency. It will be back though. And we may do a Biffo’s Brain Zoom on Thursday. I’ll keep you posted, depending on how the week is shaping up.

That’s it for now. Hope everyone is doing okay.
