Also, the long-stablished notion that shorter videos are better isn't the case as apparently YouTube prefer to push out longer ones due to the ad revenue. Also, I just like doing videos that feel a tad meatier. Short ones feel too throwaway for my tastes. Not really in it for the views - as fun as it is when that happens. I just make the videos as long as they feel they need to be. I mean, one of the biggest viral videos of recent times was a review of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, and that was over four hours!

2024-06-14 01:21:35 +0000 UTCHave you ever found a sweet spot with the length of these videos? We watch a few trendy creators over breakfast and they always seem to be about 15mins. But the geeky stuff I like is more like 24 - 28 mins. But I dunno if that's their personal taste, my algorithm or an insight from analytics.
