MONDAY MONDAY...

Morning all! Happy Monday.

 So, it felt GOOD to film one of our stupid main channel videos at the weekend. It was much needed. And also coincided with our wedding anniversary, so that was nice.

Between life’s many ‘interesting’ twists and challenges, and the gap since we last did one six months ago, I think we were both feeling a tad rusty, but any clunkiness should be papered over in the edit. 

We ended up filming for two days. Basically, we found a brilliant location (you might’ve seen it in the clip I shared yesterday) that was worth re-shooting the entire intro for. This meant one of our key locations was shut by the time we were done, so we had to go back on Saturday. Should be loads of outtakes for you though.

We’ve got various trips to see family over the coming month, and we’re aiming to get a couple more filmed along the way. They won’t be so monolithic as dealing with conspiracy nonsense – Canary Wharf is purely catnip for those who watched the MK video – but there’s one I’m really excited about down in Sussex, that I started researching yesterday.

Completely different – no Illuminati, just a really interesting and bizarre bit of history, that kind of has something slightly darker at the heart of it that relates to the modern day. 

We’re hoping that we’ll get the video out this week, but… we had a slight technical malfunction in that the wireless mic receiver broke – the moment is caught on camera (you’ll know it when you see it: our tripod fell over, in a moment of perfect comic timing) – so half the sound now needs to be synched, which is a pain. You will get it early either way. Maybe we’ll even do a Digi Level 2-style watchalong. I’ll think about it.

This doesn’t mean we’ve abandoned Digi Level 2. Of course not! We’ll hopefully be getting that completed this month too. Yes, best laid plans and all that, but that’s our intention.

On the current trajectory, the channel should hit 19,000 subs in the next day or so. This means we should hopefully hit my goal of 20,000 by the end of the year! The MK video is now over 60,000 views. If you’re interested, the ad revenue from that is a life-changing £237 (sarcasm). It’s still more than we’ve ever earned in a month from YouTube. Hopefully we’ll have a new BYAMPOD this week. Sorry we haven’t managed it in the last couple of weeks, due to Mother Reasons. It has been stressful. I’m trying not to go on about it, and keep my primal screaming off of Patreon. 

Also, sorry to anyone expecting to see us on the Cheapshow live stream this weekend. Sadly, we’ve been tapped to babysit, so can’t make it. I think Gannon might be rescheduling though, as I’m not the only guest who has had to drop out.
