PATREON EXCLUSIVE: DON'T HATE ME

Morrrrrning, Patreon chums.

So, Digi Level 2 is on almost 3,000 views, having gone up at 6pm last night.

Suffice to say – while I know that’s still a pittance compared to lots of our peers - our regular videos don’t get that many views that quickly. Given we’re putting Digi Level 2 out on what is essentially a new channel, we’re pretty pleased with that. You lot do love your old games.

Sanja and I have been talking in recent days, and we’ve enjoyed this project enough that I think we will do a third series – a Digi Level 3, or whatever we call it. I doubt it’ll be this year – I still want to do the book, and we have Drong’s Challenge for the latter half of the year – and there are lots of things to discuss (such as how we can avoid being left with a mountain of merch to send out). But… we both want to do it.

Primarily at this stage, I’m just excited about the thought of getting to build a new set, and putting to use the skills and lessons we’ve learned this time around. And doing it more quickly! I’ve become kind of fixated on the notion of doing a space station or spaceship. For a while now I’ve had ideas about a sci-fi cockpit and a corridor. No idea how to realise any of it yet – but that’s the fun part.

Onto other things. We’ve had a comment or two asking if we’re abandoning the main channel – and the sorts of videos we’ve been making on there. Absolutely not. For Sanja and I, they’re our bread and butter – we love making them – we just needed to get the ball rolling on Digi Level 2, which has been all-consuming this month. It also didn’t help that between the editing of Ep 1 and Christmas I basically didn’t earn anything for four weeks, so I spent much of last week rectifying that.

Things are settling down though now that DL2 is up and running, and we’ll soon get back to the regular videos, which we’ll hopefully be able to release alongside Digi Level 2 going forwards. Likewise BYAMPOD, which I’m really missing.
