2024-03-31 19:36:09 +0000 UTCI can think of two meanings behind having a song called "Spaghettii" on this album: the saying "throwing spaghetti at a wall and seeing what sticks" could be applied to the genre-bending/exprimenting she really starts to highlight starting with that song and carrying through the back half of the album; it also references Spaghetti Westerns, when Italian cinema started producing western movies (also makes sense coming right after her operatic moment on "Daughter"). She could be asking what counts as "real" country. I've also seen people talk about how the Post Malone feature was probably due to his recent pivot to country and how welcomed he's been - pointing out the hypocrisy and who exactly is allowed in or kept out. Interestingly I think the Miley Cyrus feature is almost the opposite of this - someone who started in country-pop and then pivoted to R&B for an album.
