I love Ashens (and this is not intended to be a criticism), but I don't watch every episode. Because of his brand and format it always feels the same to me. My favourite episodes of his is when he does something away from the couch.

Some of Top Spicy did a meet at the Cambridge retro computer place a while back and that worked well for a casual get-together, other than the mild scarring for life that was Dave playing a VTech Dora the Explorer console.

Feels like YouTube is set up for the kind of watching Sanja talks about, where it goes, "you watched one critique of the portrayal of the Sand People, now watch 49 other videos in similar style", and a lot of gaming content is in sympathy with that. (And it's not a horrible assumption in their case, I've been known to binge videos about how speedruns are done for three hours in a row)
