EARLY ACCESS: DIGITISER'S A CHRISTMAS CAROL
Added 2020-12-16 21:37:48 +0000 UTCIt has long been tradition that Digitiser presents an annual festive Pant-oh, a rambling, stream-of-consciousness, take on a popular Christmas tale. This year, for the first time ever, the Pant-Oh has been fully dramatised and acted by REAL people!
John Robertson from The Dark Room, Sooz, CJJC, Sam Anderson, and Ash Frith, join me, Gannon, Eli and Sanja - with Graham from Jaws 19 as The Voice of Pudsey - for a dramatic audio retelling of A Christmas Carol.
I'm not totally sure how I'll be putting this out yet. I kind of wanted to keep it as a podcast - I'd like to do more Digi audio stuff in the coming year - but to set up another podcast is going to cost around £150. And I've just spent £500 to fix a busted water pipe. So, it'll likely end up on the Digi YouTube channel this Sunday with some simple visuals. But you get the full, audio-only, experience here and now to download and enjoy several days early!
If there's one thing we can all agree upon here, it'll be the consistency of my performance as Ebeneezer Scrooge...
There's one more Christmas treat to come, which sadly won't feature Gannon due to London going into a Tier 3 Lockdown, but he'll hopefully make a brief cameo, and Sanja and I will instead be doing an extra-long Christmas Eve Corner Shop Corner (we've been stockpiling food to try for weeks now).
Enjoy!

Cheers, feller. I really wasn't sure it was going to work, and still wasn't until I put it all together. But rest assured, I loved editing it, and being an idiot in it, and I'm very eager to do more in the new year. Consider this the pilot!

2020-12-17 10:32:53 +0000 UTCWhat a complete tour de force. Bravo! I knew I’d enjoy it from reading the script, but the voice acting was a joy to behold! Now I feel all Christmassy, and that. Would love to have more audio plays like this, there must be some mileage in something like the old Digi parody scripts...

2020-12-16 21:49:42 +0000 UTCPeople would be perfectly happy with this as a YouTube video that’s just the audio over a snowy Digitiser logo, especially if the title contains something like “radio play”.
