Q&A QUESTIONS NEEDED

Hello, you lot. When we film next, we thought we'd do a Patreon-exclusive Q&A. It's likely to just be Sanja and I, so if you've got any questions for the two of us... post them in the comments here, and we'll reply to as many as we can.

You were too late, Reo! We recorded it today. We'll try and answer this on the next one...

Paul Rose (Mr Biffo)

Not wanting to turn this into a teeny Sleep over with this question but who are your celeb crushes? *giggles*

Plus for Sanja. How long did it take you to perfect the gentle look of disapproval that you give Paul when he's having 'fun' with Gannon or himself or the things in the room :-)? Take care you two, you've got the vibe just right of having friends round for board games and drinkies.

Dave Graves

When it comes to creation and writing and deadlines etc. Are you a 'take your time and write throughout the process," kind of person. Or are you a "deadlines approaching, now my brain is working and I'm going to write 40'000 words in a weekend!" chap?

Dave Graves

Not without my pants without my pants!

Hello! If Tim leaving Teletext was a Sliding Doors moment for Digi, how would things have been different if he’d stayed? How would Digi have developed - would it actually have lasted as long as it did, or would it have ended earlier with the two of you going off and becoming a writing double act? How do you think your scriptwriting career would have developed differently? Would you have gone solo anyway while Tim was off doing stupidly arduous cycling challenges?

Chris Bell

What are your opinions, if any, of the TV version of Round the Twist? I think that, even after all this time, it still stands as one of the great achievements in children's television so I would be interested to hear your feelings about it.

John Whyte

Which Marillion album are you least looking forward to covering?

Grahamf66

A question for both of you to answer: If you could have anyone famous in a Digi video who would you choose? And what sort of video would it be? (taste test, toy review, storytime etc.)

(Just) Steve

I’ll be the puerile one: what’s the worst thing either of you have had in your mouth?

J Is Manchild

Hear hear.

Spiff

What other creators (musicians, filmmakers, comedians, writers, platespinners, whatever) would you most like to work with should the possibility arise? Let's say anyone, large or small, so long as they're alive. That's to both of you

Sedric And Charlie

Do you ever ponder the positive impact you have on your audience? I appreciate this may sound slightly sarcastic from the outset but as someone who is classed as "vulnerable" during lockdown I listened (Often on repeat) to a LOT of your work on a near daily basis and it got to the point where it felt like having friends in the room. I appreciate that might sound odd but I know its very common to worry what an audience thinks about you and I would hope when these moments of worry do occur you do remember what an utterly positive effect you have on a lot of peoples lives.

Richard Goodley

Are you worried about the future?

John Veness

Have you ever thought of writing a book, and if so what would it be about?

Richard Lyth

You've done a few stories now with Chernobyl coming up at some point does Sanja any? Anything culture shocky?

Mark Honeyborne

Once you've done the album collection what else is on the grand p!an for BYAMPOD?

Mark Honeyborne

We know that you've been a Marillion fan since your teenage years but what did Sanja listen to in her youth? And have you picked up any of her musical tastes?

Treacle Truffle

As a writer of children’s TV, are there any over your time that you either tried to or wished you were involved with? My daughter loves that Waffle Dog programme and I often think what it would be like with some of your comedic sensibilities woven into it.

Paul

Netflix call and offer you the chance of bringing back any tv show from the 1970`s, which one would you pick and how would you change it?

Tyronne Mann

W i tells ya! I think i was gonna write something like 'wow'. Its wow.

James

Boring, short, voluptuous question #1 of 1: have you got and played, or planning on doing so, Star Wars Squadrons? I'm gonna guess it is like having a Galaxys Edge star attraction in your living room. Its w

James

Do you have any ideas for a follow up to 'found/lost footage'?

The Nitroglycerin Child

Well I can't help it- I'd still like to know what's in the vile jar you gave Gannon for Christmas. But you'll never tell, will you?

Benedict Miller

Do you like any other other music as much as you love Marillion?

Lee McCormick

What is the worst Christmas present you ever received (child or adult) and why?

Hedders

Is there a holy grail of vintage toy you'd like to feature on the channel but haven't been able to get hold of?

RolexTharsus

Would you mind giving us some backstory on how your career evolved from the end of Teletext Digi to moving in to working on TV projects?

Hello Biffos! My question for you is as follows: would you ever consider some kind of outside or "3rd party" assistance in writing for the Digitiser2000 website should you feel that it could ever be more associated with video games? As in getting someone with similar style/sense of humour to write reviews or features for you? OR are you keen to keep the Digitiser brand completely in-house? I'm not one of these people clamouring for you to "go back to doing games" but wondered if you'd considered a compromise on this kind of level?

Spiff

What game (physical or video game) is your guilty pleasure, that other people generally don't like?

Steve Mannion
