He was terrified that the president would target her. Keep in mind that at the time she was still considered a liar after the whole KimxKanye situation (the full unedited phone call was released only in 2020, 4 years after everything went down with Kanye).

I was 4 years old when i heard "our song" on the radio and on the first day of high school i listened to "fifteen" to get myself ready for the thought of finally growing up into the real world. I'm 21 now and It's so heart warming hearing Taylor say she feels like we all grew up together cause it's so true. Being there for all her milestones and seeing her get through the Kanye stuff but not getting any awards from Reputation was such a heartbreaking thing knowing all of what she went through. So proud of her and how much she's grown though, her younger self would be so excited to know what an amazing women she's become. love seeing you adore her as much as we do too :)
