NEW VIDEO ALERT: THE TRUTH!
Added 2019-05-09 13:56:54 +0000 UTCHowdy chums!
Here's this Friday's Digi video for you!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbz79ZsSwH0&feature=youtu.be
Feels like a good time to ask for some more Q&A questions if you've got any - I'll answer them all in a forthcoming video. Put them in the comments below!
Also, thanks to those of you who have either bought tickets, or RSVP'd your KS backer tickets, to Digi Live. I'm really pleased so many of you are coming. I keep hyping it as a special night, but it really does feel like it's going to be a big celebration of this absurd community.
We're putting so much work into it that it'd be a shame if it's a one-off, but I suspect - because it is a one-off show - this might be the only time we're able to fill a theatre of this size. So, we're really going for it.
Suffice to say, confidence in the Digi camp is high at the minute. Doing the Digi Mini videos has been a really useful exercise in as much as I think it has helped us identify what Digitiser (in video/live action form) is.
Series 1 of Digitiser The Show was very much a case of us finding our feet, figuring it out, and in an ideal world we'd have done the mini videos first. When I put up the first few Minis, we'd always lose a ton of subscribers in the first couple of hours... and then gain a few more in the following days. Now we seem to have found our audience, and we don't tend to lose subscribers when a new video goes up, which suggests people now know what to expect from us.
In short... we've realised that we don't need to try and force serious bits for those who don't like the stupid stuff, and there's no sense falling between two stools. We see ourselves now as a comedy thing first and a show about old games second. Which, to be honest, was always (for me at least) the emphasis of Digi back in the day anyway.
It might seem odd to you that it has taken this long to figure it out, but I think we (well, I... ) took quite a bit of well-meaning advice before and during Series 1 which I shouldn't really have listened to, and should have just trusted my own instincts and impulses.
But aaaanyway... you live and learn, and I'm very excited to see what we're able to achieve as and when we do a proper second series.
For now? Here's the latest ridiculous video...

I thought there's be more so here's some to keep you going (ps pretty tipsy and waiting for vmware to install updates so sorry) Who's generally the best at games? What's the last game you bought? If you had the infinity gauntlet who would you punch in the face with it? You are in a not very dark room, in the middle of this room is a pedestal with a large red button. Above the button is an arrow pointing towards it with "Do not push the button" witten in white writing with red bulbs flashing in the morse code signal for SOS around it. Do you push the button if so why? Can you play any musical instruments, if so what and if there's enough of you how about digitiser the rock opera or the Biffo Horror Picture Show? What's the last film you saw and was it any good? The R-36m better known as the Satan rocket is capable of carrying a 20 megatonne payload, if you played fallout 3 did you save or destroy Megaton? Games appear to be moving towards digital distribution, as it does I buy less and less new games. How do you feel about buying games on platforms like steam, origin, PSN, Xbox etc? Is the slow death of physical media as inevitable as entropy? What are your hobbies away from gaming? Who would you most like to either have a pint with or a mocha choccachino with and just shoot the breeze (whatever that means)? Farts, funny or foul? Something strange is going on, somethings wrong. No it's not ghosts it's gremlins and they're tearing up the plane you're flying on. You look out of the window and see one kung fu chop the tip of the wing off. Do you make a scene or pray to the great spaghetti monster in the sky or hope Enoch will pop back for a minute to save you? Have any of you ever brewed your own alcohol? (I have it's really frigging strong) Rose tinted spectacles often make us believe old games are better than they actually are, what old games are still awesome today and that you still put time into? What's the rudest video game you'll admit to playing? Finally VMWare has finished, night all. P

2019-05-11 22:23:11 +0000 UTC1. What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? 2. Have you ever got into a physical fight with siblings, cousins or friends over a videogame? 3. What retro game had you screaming at the top of your lungs and shouting expletives in a frustrated rage? 4. This has likely been answered many times before but I must've missed it somehow, where did the names Mr Biffo and Mr Hairs come from? 5. In recent times there have been new games "released" on consoles from years gone by (Mega Drive, Jaguar etc.), so if you could design a game on a dead console what game would it be and on what console/computer?

2019-05-10 14:50:58 +0000 UTCOne last one. When we have a true artificial intelligence should it have the same rights and responsibilities as us meatbags? If not why?

2019-05-10 11:38:44 +0000 UTCIf you were a mortal kombat character what would your fatality be?

2019-05-10 11:26:27 +0000 UTCOh no it's apocalypse o'clock and it's the end of the world as we know it. Still i feel fine and so do you despite the dead rising from thier graves or some weird last of us infection. If you only could pick one of the digitiser team to cover your back and fight off the freaky hoardes who would it be and why?

2019-05-09 19:13:44 +0000 UTCWhen you do the Digitiser Mini's, do you record a bunch over the course of a day or is it just as and when? I really enjoy the camaradare (sp?) between you all, it's very heartwarming :)

2019-05-09 17:22:03 +0000 UTCI think I've asked this before elsewhere but I'll go again: would there ever be a release on bandcamp or whatever of the music composed for Digitiser and Found Footage? I've ripped a whole bunch from videos already but would happily pony up for an official Biffosonic collection
