Addendum
Added 2018-12-03 20:25:24 +0000 UTCYou may notice that I've deleted the post I made this morning. Everything still stands... except... I have since learned that the person I mentioned in the post isn't the same person who left an exit survey a week ago with a "Fuck him" message.
Which is good on one hand... but on another that means there now at least two former Digi supporters who I've somehow pissed off enough to cancel their Patreon! What joy!
But anyway.
I also feel I need to say that these posts are intended for your eyes only. I tend to ramble in a slightly more heartfelt and personal way on here than I would do elsewhere, and consequently, I'd prefer if you didn't share these posts with non-backers. After all, you're paying for the privilege of listening to me whinge.
Thanks, all.
Paul

I'm sorry hurt has happened. That f-him comment though, that felt vicious. The community seems to have gone through a rough patch, but I hope this is us coming out of it now. I think that people who create stuff need to be prepared for people who hate it, and it's a sign of a good community when people who hate it just fizzle out and move on. Keep on keeping on!

2018-12-04 11:55:35 +0000 UTCFirstly, can I say thank you to the pair of you as without all the teams blood, sweat and tears there would not be Digitiser the show in the first place. I will freely admit that I did not back the show in the beginning and I want to apologise for not doing so as the show has made me laugh until I cry and like I have said before in the youtube comments and on the main digi site, there are so few shows that make me do that. Do not let the bastards get you down, be very proud of what you have achieved and move forward, do not let them make you look back as there are a hell of a lot more us for you all than against. Whatever you decide to do remember that you all have left a very positive mark on a good many of us and nothing will ever change that - however, I would love to see that initial mark become a huge multicoloured Pollack of ideas thrown against the canvas of retro computers as it rekindles my initial love of gaming in a age of greed and complacency by a good many game publishers.

2018-12-04 06:01:46 +0000 UTCFirst of all, allow me to express my sadness that you have been treated in this way, Paul. Despite having never met you, I do feel as if I know you a tiny bit and I am sure that neither you nor Sanya deserve to be treated in such a manner. I am sure that the majority who appreciate your work and accessibility will rally round and say that you must continue - I feel this way, too. At the same time, however, please feel no responsibility to keep us happy. It's easy for me to tell you to ignore it, but the reality is that these situations hurt. I really hope that you don't, but if you do decide that enough is enough, then I would not blame you and instead would thank you for all that you have done since Digitiser returned. While I'm sure it makes little difference, whatever you decide, you will have my support.

2018-12-03 22:45:03 +0000 UTCThat’s why I replied to you here instead of Twitter... didn’t want to publicize the matter. It sucks losing patrons — I mean, I imagine it does, anyway — but you’re never going to please all the people all the time, right? Still plenty of us out here who enjoy your stuff. Hell, look at me... we never had Teletext in the US. I only learned about your original stuff via Octav1us’s video about it. But now? Now you’re worldwide, man. That’s pretty amazing, if you ask me.

2018-12-03 22:14:48 +0000 UTCStill stands. You have my sword! (Sword being a euphemism for words)

2018-12-03 21:52:50 +0000 UTCHonestly, if I decide I no longer want to back something then I just stop backing it. Leaving a comment like that is someone trying to make a statement. I wouldn't worry about it too much

2018-12-03 21:17:54 +0000 UTCWell I've always had the attitude that backing anything online carries the risk that I may see a finished product that I dislike, that's if it materialises at all. I've seen things in Digi articles that mildly annoyed me but I'm grown up and ugly enough to put it aside given life's too short for petty, frothy-mouthed arguing on the internet. :) Chin up my loveable retro rapscallion. Digi is helping me laugh my way through a pretty shite time right now! :)
2018-12-03 21:08:43 +0000 UTCNow I can pretend you erased a beautiful, heartfelt statement when I just used a cuss word. Still, sentiment still stands. Like what you do, and happy to continue supporting.

2018-12-03 20:30:55 +0000 UTCNoted. I love you a lot, Paul, you really improve my life and the lives of many I know. Lots of us still support you, love you and are very glad you exist. Thank you for doing what you do and still doing it in the face of nastiness and upset. You're a good good human. Have a great evening, remember that you're very loved and appreciated <3
