THANKING THANKING THANKING

Hello, you lot. Just wanted to drop you a line to thank you belatedly all for sticking with me through another month.

Obviously, I've been quite preoccupied over recent weeks with piecing Digitiser The Show together. It has been a mammoth undertaking, and I'm still not done yet, but we're nearly there. It should be out by mid-November, but just to warn you, it might be that Digitiser posts are a bit less frequent (there isn't one today for instance) as I get into the final crunch period of the edit.

Something that I wanted to say - especially to those of you who've been Patrons of Digitiser2000 for quite a while - is that Digitiser The Show wouldn't exist without you (yes, sorry, it's going to be a sincere and heartfelt update...). Even those who didn't back the Kickstarter have helped support The Show, not only through your donations on here every month, but - frankly - by putting your faith in me.

I've been doing Digitiser2000 for four years now, and when I started it I couldn't have conceived of ever reaching a point where I'd feel accepted enough to front my own YouTube show. I honestly thought that I'd be trolled out of existence again, and hadn't imagined that there'd be so many of you who'd show their support and appreciation in so many ways, again and again. That level of acceptance - coming six years after I'd been emotionally battered, and thought I'd retired from the public's glare forever - has been life-changing.

And it's very much down to you lot sticking by me.

Because of it, I've been able to do things like get up on stage at the Cheapshow live show this past weekend, appear on panels with Iain Lee, pour myself into Found Footage... and, really, become comfortable being myself without particularly caring what anybody thinks.

It is a profound gift to have that acceptance, and through that to be able to accept myself. Digitiser The Show is very much the culmination of the past four years - to the point where I'm not even nervous about sticking my face on YouTube.

To say that your support has been life-changing would be an understatement, and I hope that I can continue to give back enough that you feel rewarded for it.

Thank you. I'll never take you for granted.

Paul

No probs, dude! Digitiser was such a huge part of Computer Games from my perspective back in the 90s. I was delighted when you resurfaced again and I backed the HECK out of Found Footage. I wasn't disappointed with the result in the slightest. Of course I was going to back Digitiser The Show, and I'm jolly well looking forward to it!
