About a talk I had with Crisbr on the subject: "next game update". (Light spoiler risk:Thread with care)

Hey guys, how are you doing on this cold Friday? At least here where I live is could, that is for sure…

So, I was sharing some thoughts with one of my beloved patrons Crisbr and I thought that would be nice sharing some of the things I wrote to him with all of you guys.

He was telling me how high are his expectations about the coming update since it’s gonna be focused on MC’s past and that he hopes to finally figure out if the story will be focused on terror, action like in the movies or if it’s gonna be a thriller.

Sincerely I’m still not able to define that…

Not that I don’t know what is gonna come into MC’s way, cause I do. 

I just suck on labeling stuff… Yeah, I know… That’s lame, but also true…

He also asked me if this is my first time doing something like that (the game I guess)

Now let’s get to what I wrote to him back about his expectations:

First of all: Doing a VN? First time ever! I’ve never done anything close to a VN in my entire life!

But I’m loving doing it because I’m learning so much! I hope you guys can perceive that learning in the coming update and I really hope you guys like it…

Continuing: Writing stuff? Not even close. I wrote a lot in the past (4 books and about 170 pages of a 5º book that I just abandoned) It doesn’t mean I’m good at it though. You guys will be the judges on that (be merciful).

Thinking about stories comes just naturally to me. That being said I got to tell you guys that MC’s story is already about done in my head.

As you all know the production barrier is the rendering of course… It just make things so slow for me to advance in the speed I hoped I’d get…

Now back to my chat with Crisbr:

This update will serve the only purpose of giving background to Marco and establishing some of the relations (sexual or not) that will permeate Marcos life throughout the whole game.

That being said: There will be some sexual content to an extent on this update but it will not be the focus of the renders and the storytelling.

Some characters will be introduced. I will write about them in order of appearance: 

- First we have Rachel Silva (Her original name was supposed to be Raquel Silva but I thought that Rachel would have more acceptance since it is a somewhat common North American name.

She is the MC’s first love and this update focus mainly on uncovering why Marco isn’t happily married with her if she was his high school sweet heart.

- Next we have Jackeline or Jackie for basically anyone that gets to meet her (She is not picky). She is the crooked cop (also completely nuts). She is “as per say” Marco’s first employer (I won’t say more in order to not spoil things). She also kinda introduce Marco to the next character:

- Alex, the mechanic. She is also a teenager and by the time Marco meets her she has seventeen. She is the sweetest girl in the world and will take a liking to Marco right from the start. Can’t say much more without spoil all the fun, but you guys should prepare for a surprise…

- The fourth and last character (at least up to now… As I said before to some of you guys: The story is writing itself and another character might dig itself into the story if needed): Charlie but I guess you guys saw one of her renders named as the “Candy Lady”.

She is teen Marco’s neighbor and he affectionately called her that because since when he was just a little boy, when his parents were fighting, Charlie usually came to his rescue and, after taking him to her apartment, she fed him a lot of candies saying that candies always made her happy.

I guess that’s at least one reason for him being more on the fat side on his early teen years…

To wrap it up I proposed Crisbr to think about the game synopsis. It is about a 40 years old rich man. How did he get there? Was by honest means or not?

I did that in order to try and show that everything in the game as in life is relative. Being good or bad depends on the observer’s point of view, in this case the player.

Man that was long… Sorry guys about that.
