February preview + Zine Quest

Hey, all. We've got a little left to drop Monger-style before January is over, but here's a peek at what we've got coming in February... which happens to be Zine Quest month! We had such a good time with the last one that we've decided to jump in this year as well. 

We're using our Zine Quest slot to do a limited run of physical copies for CRUX: Elemental. What is it? CRUX Elemental is a sort of "starter" version of our regular CRUX rpg rules, meant to get new players in on the fundamentals of the game. It's a fully functional (albeit lighter) system on its own, plus it's 100% forward compatible, meaning you can transition into regular CRUX at your leisure and even has some new content (traits, spells, ancestries, et cetera) that will be useful to any CRUX player.

In addition, we're working on a starter module, Mirror Walkers. This scenario is something of our love letter to the "souls-like" video game subgenre, and utilizes some of those familiar elements in the mechanics. In the story, players will be randomized weirdos plucked from across the Multiverse to aid a dying deity in liberating the mysterious "City of Stairs and Doors," a cross-dimensional hub-world overrun with the mutanoid worshippers of the demon-god, Moht.

If you want physical copies of the books, be sure to jump in on the Kickstarter. Otherwise, the PDF rules and all the 3d printable components will be going to patrons through February as we run the campaign. Speaking of, here's a little WIP roadmap of what to expect here through next month:
