USS Shiloh Coming Home After 17 Years
Added 2023-09-07 11:46:12 +0000 UTCIt looks like the Ticonderoga's are finally being laid to rest it seems. Very sad, but it's time. USS Shiloh has had a distinguished service career forward deployed. Officially, this is part of a planned rotation, which is factually true. The unsaid part of the official statement is the rotation is for eventual decommissioning. She's a fine ship.

Definitive ships of the USN for so long they've done great service for such a long time and thoroughly deserve to be remembered fondly, still one of the most powerful surface warships in the world. A shame none will be preserved.
