Otherwise starving themselves to a state of emaciation, they consume only the petals of a rare flower rumored to give them a preternaturally heightened awareness and to turn the weakness of their hunger into a ferocious strength. Though often fatal, a warrior that survives a guard mission spent as a Petal Eater has undergone a rite of passage, and is inducted into the High Guard of Oon.
