Hey all!

I've been saying it for a while: Fee's in-scene face needed an update. The old version was based on her original dialogue portrait which wasn't even accurate anymore and it just looked... bad. So, the bulk of my stuff this week has been going through every previous scene in the game and swapping out the old faces for these new ones. I also went ahead and revisited Keke's scene (the cyclops), and added the new crying faces I made last week into that one. 

Next week is looking to be slightly less busy than the last few, so I plan to spend some time really trying to figure out how I want the romances in the game to work. I'm really fond of unified systems that all talk to each other in my games and the romances in Silkfang just feel so disconnected with the rest of the systems. Suggestions on this are not only welcome, but encouraged! Dating sims are also a genre that I've never really played, nor had much interest in, so I feel that my skills for making that kind of gameplay need work. Hoping to have at least one new scene and tentatively, a plan for how I want to move forward with the relationship system in the future. Hopefully something that is not only satisfying in its design, but that also interacts with the other mechanics!

I never thought the old art looked bad - but these new portraits look amazing. As for the romance I like the method of having some little scenes/events before you finish their romance plot to get the repeatable scene like with the romance for the girl in the earth town, and I like the choices in Chikara’s route so far. As far as it connecting to the other games it feels most like DoaS where you got the event for them that got you closer to them, at least to me.
