Peeping And Lore!
Added 2018-07-16 01:14:20 +0000 UTCWhen I was playtesting recently, I noticed that it feels like the world around the player is kinda dead, especially in Kanro Town. There's mention of other characters getting punished/having fun together, but we never really see it. That is the focus of this next update. On certain days, if you try to enter the toolshed, you'll find it locked, but peeking through the window will reveal what's happening inside! All of these scenes are visible to the player, (no black screen with sound effects) and if you know what days to look on, there's nothing stopping you from seeing them all! Right now, there are 5 of these scenes done, with 2 of them occurring if you enter the Madam's house in the evening on certain days. In total, I have planned 20 peeping scenes, with 11 happening in the Madam's house, and 9 happening in the toolshed.
On top of that, I've been writing lore books! Yes, in case you've ever been curious about the world that DOAS takes place in, there are 6 different books that can be read, similar to the books in Skyrim or Oblivion. Eventually, I'd like to have quite a few of them for the intrepid player to read and learn from, maybe with several being on the level of The Lusty Argonian Maid!

2018-07-19 04:48:20 +0000 UTCWell it's not directly to you per say, but 11 of the peeping scenes involve you walking in on someone who either has just been, or is in the middle of being punished by the Madam. As far as just random penalties for snooping and stuff, the stairs are one already, if you try to go upstairs early on in the game, she'll warn you, and then act. More stuff like that is fairly easy to do, since they are technically just solitary scenes that get gated off with an "I'm not about to do that again" type of message.

2018-07-17 20:10:01 +0000 UTCThe only other thing I will add is the Matron also needs (in this game or the next) to be brought more into the fold. Currently she only spanks you maybe a total of 3 times no matter what. One thing I like about Bagools /Banjos game is all the little things you can often do that cause character reactions. Esperanza's House (when you choose the little option for spanking) is a good example in this game. Her house feels 'lived in' whereas lots of Kanro Town, is, as you say, rather static and 'dead' and the Matron's house is one such place where you should be able to get in all sorts of trouble :)

2018-07-17 05:56:34 +0000 UTCI know you can't do everything at once, Godspeak so I appreciate you considering my idea as I really do think it will be easy for you to implement into the game (not trying to make tons of extra work for you) and to be fair the Punishment spanking stuff from the girls has been on my mind for months now so anything that increases that or adds even slightly different scenes to them is good in my book. I hope eventually they will have a chance to randomly say yes if you ask them for one, but I know that will probably be on the final version of this game or in the sequel you seem to have planned. :)

2018-07-17 05:53:06 +0000 UTCThat is definitely something that might end up in the game! I'd like to get all of the scenes written first so I can see where it might be most likely to get caught. Some of the dialogue in the punishments right now is written with shirking work in mind, so it might need some extra overhead to function, or perhaps just a special scene that can occur where they drag you into the toolshed and just take care of it right then and there. We'll see!

2018-07-16 22:38:39 +0000 UTCCould you set a random thing after some of them where you have a chance to get caught peeping and punishment spanked (same as if you slacked off at work, so you wouldn't have to write new dialogue or a new spanking scene except for the caught peeping part)? Right now there is only one way for the girls to feel you deserve a punishment spanking and adding PEEPING to a list of offences will both make these scenes even more 'real' in the gameworld (because they could have consequences for you) and give you more reasons besides work to end up over a lap. I'm not saying do this with all scenes, my idea here is merely to add random variable to a few of them (or heck, just make you get caught at the end - it could be deterministic not random if thats easier to do).
