The scale of the toy submarine and the real submarine are very different; I assume the reynold's number of the fluid flow over the hull would be quite different.

2020-06-15 20:56:57 +0000 UTCHA HA - I had one of those toys, Used it in my bathtub when I was like 6. It used a bicarbonate of soda pill to affect ballast. Did put the ballast plug on the bottom on the real sub. Moral of the story: they were stealing our technology even back then.
