Happy Sunday! It's already December 7th? I told myself I'd get Kaz done before Christmas ;) Well good news it's progressing smoothly!

I want to share screenshots and go over a bit of what I've done to improve art:

So Mr. Goro might not be the sexiest character but even so, the poor guy was stuck in his chapter 1 style. Numerous problems: He doesn't emote and he's scaled too small compared to the rest of the cast.

Managed to carefully inpaint him into the current model while maintaining his essence. He also has emotes now with numerous sprites.

Kaz herself similarly has been tweaked and given more emotes. But will leave that for you to discover when you play. What I love about this work is that these improvements will reflect in the rest of the game once patched with Kaz's story.

Speaking of improvements, The school gym has been updated too!

This is part of the chapter 1-4 enhancement effort that I am doing alongside the Kaz short story. Oh, might have spoiled that Kaz runs into Jiro at the gym hah! You know there's loads of good stuff here if I am willing to spoil this. Jiro gets some good workout images.

The header image shows Jiro cleaning a bar, took great care to do back muscles better and referenced some images even. The AI model struggles the most with Back muscles so I have been working to do those better.

Speaking of art improvements, I have shared a lot in the super supporter discord about how I am addressing the critiques of the art in the game. The Jiro gym sprite next to Kaz represents a lot of the steps I have taken to improve the art.

The biggest critique being a soft look and less defined muscles and faces looking off. I decided to take this Hino pic since I feel it is a good example. Elaborate pose, anatomically accurate, but feels 'soft' and 'flat'. Adding another run of img2img of the SG lora gives us a much more familiar looking Hino. (left is the current in-game one. Right is the improved one)

Example B, Hino at the restaurant. This one I cannot defend. She looks off for sure. Run it through the SG lora for an extra pass and boom. Looks miles better

So loads of stuff going on. I got my hands full. I can't promise I will tweak every image in chapter 6 since it will take weeks. But take this as a vote of confidence that I am working on addressing feedback and the game will be better for it!

Expect Kaz side story release before Christmas! Exactly when I don't want to say but my internal deadline is closer than you might think ;)
