Regarding Brushes and other tools
Added 2020-04-29 11:23:11 +0000 UTCHi Guys!
I've been asked, SO MANY TIMES, about what brushes do I use in my videos that I decided to make a post about this so I don't need to write this down each time someone asks me that question again. For the time being, this will cover just brushes but I plan on updating this with other tools and include affiliate links once they are ready.

BRUSHES
I have three main brands that I can recommend without a doubt, this brushes have always been absolutley magnificent.
- Rosemary and Co Kolinsky

From left to right: Series 33 size 2, Series 8 size 2, Series 33 size 3, Series 8 size 3, Series 33 size 4, Series 8 size 4.
This are my Rosemary and co Kolinsky Brushes, they are brand new from my latest order, taking the price into account, the Rosemary and Co series 33 is, BY FAR, the best brushes you can get. Beautiful quality, great tips and again, VERY cheap.
I ordered some Series 8 brushes as well, supposedly a bit longer than the series 33 but in all honestly the difference is minimum and the price difference is quite noticeable so I would recommend you stick to the Series 33. Sizes 2, 3 and 4 are my personal favourites and the only ones I need and use.
Rosemary and Co has been my go to brushes lately for everything, I love them and I was surprised when I discovered myself reaching for them time and time again.
Finally I have a Rosemary and Co Affiliation!!

- Raphaël 8404

From left to Right: Raphaël 8404 size 0 and size 1
This ones are to me, not considering the price, the best brushes I've ever used. The thing is the difference in quality with Rosemary is very small but the difference in price is big, so have that into account when you consider buying new brushes.
Size 0 and 1 are my all time favourites, the tip on my size 0 is just insane, its my go to brush for extreme detail.
you can buy your Raphael 8404 brushes from Jackson's Art:

- Other Brushes

From left to right: Rosemary and Co Smooshing brush Small, Medium and Large
I recently bought this set of brushes for my drybrushing and I don't regret it, they are amazing. I don't do drybrushing all that much but the little I do now looks much better.
WET PALETTE
There is only one option for me, Redgrass Games Everlasting is just the best. I have TWO of the large ones that I use all the time, you can see them in all my videos.

HOLDER
I will be honest with you, when this holder was announced I thought it was crap, boy was I wrong, I got the chance to try this at london from a friend that had one and I was AMAZED, truly beautiful and satisfying movement and the putty is incredible. It's so good I made a video about it, and bought two for myself:

2023-07-04 09:58:23 +0000 UTCWhat dropper bottles do you use to put your contrast in? I've had bad/cheap droppers before that were terrible. But your's look high quality.

2023-07-04 09:33:13 +0000 UTCYes I do. I use some magnification lenses from Amazon. Honestly I can't remember which ones exactly but they are all more or less the same.

2021-08-13 16:32:13 +0000 UTCHello! Wondering if you use a magnifying lens light or headband, and if so, would you be willing to share? Even with glasses my vision is not good enough to see exactly where to dot highlights, for example, studs on Adepta Sororitas robes and armor, or (cue sinister music) to paint eyes. So I've been thinking about various kinds of magnification and wondered if you had any insights or recommendations you'd be willing to share. Thank you.

2020-12-01 18:19:47 +0000 UTCThanks for the article Juan. Very helpful. I’ve bought the wet palette through the link from element some time ago. I always use to use a homemade one before, but this is much easier. I will look to get some Rosemary and Co brushes thanks for the info on different sizes.

2020-12-01 18:18:37 +0000 UTCHi! Rosemary brushes are my favourite by far, you just cannot beat that price tag. As for the palette, that's caused by the paper but it's not a problem, you can still use it and it won't mess up your paint or anything. Certain brands of paper make the paint bead and others don't, that's all. If you want paper that doesn't make you paint bead, just buy Redgrass Games palette paper

2020-07-15 07:54:32 +0000 UTCRosemary & Co came from another recommendation on Facebook and mine are turning up today but good to see you use them. Quick question though, I've got a wet palette (though not one of the ones you've listed) and I'm struggling with paint "beading" on the palette (i.e. it doesn't sit on the palette the way it does in other people's videos). I have pretty hard water (high calcium levels) in my area so wonder if it is related to that or just not using the palette correctly Gone back to using a white ceramic tile for now!

2020-06-08 17:14:16 +0000 UTCYeah, I mean, I love my Raphaels but you just cannot ignore the series 33 prices. Considering the price it's the best brush you can buy.
