Version 0.11 Devlog! Potion work & System changes

1. Sexy content ;)
I mentioned in the v0.10 post that I would be working on polishing the existing areas of the game and filling out the crannies with more content. I'm sure you're all aware of the number of potions that don't have any use yet, so I've decided to spend part of this month trying to fix that! I'm sure you can guess which potion I'm working on at the moment, given the state of Varahn and Jasper in their bulky new character sprites~
2. System changes
As for the REST of the month, I'm working on a pretty huge system update for the Haunted Brothel. In this last month, the Haunted Brothel's grown a ton! (almost as much as Varahn and Jasper have in their new sprites, hehe). The problem with this is that editing the game project has become really sluggish, and there has been a rising amount of lag in the game itself. To fix this, the brothel needs to be broken up in to sections that are loaded one at a time. This is a huge job to do, since it interferes with the systems that play cutscenes, move Varahn and Jasper through doors, and pretty much anything that needs to fetch information from another area of the game. So this has taken a pretty hefty amount of time to fix.
I'm hoping I can finish this job by the time the public update releases, otherwise the public update will have to be delayed by a few days.

Thanks! Yeah, I 100% agree. The best time to have done it would be sooner and the second-best time is now, haha. Content can be made more smoothly on a good foundation, so really it's like setting myself up to get things done more quickly in the future. Hahaha yep, they are very responsible dudes :)

It's best to improve the technical side of things sooner rather than later, otherwise that baggage will keep slowing things down and making things buggier down the road. I know some gay games that ended collapsing because they never put aside time to fix these things. Players always want more and more content, but making sure the code's good absolutely pays off in making the project more sustainable. Also, good to see the boys got the muscle growth COVID vaccine! They're so responsible with their own health.
