In the 1990s Compile before they were famous for Aleste series and Puyo Puyo games had started on PC. They were making many small PC-98 games and they would release for free on CD in Japan with a magazine called Disc Station.. many were mini game style. One that is very memory for people is Broadway Legend Ellena which is really a cute rhythm action game before Parappa and Konami make this popular!

You play Ellena and you must follow the dancing movement of your enemy. They will show you some move sequence order of up, down , left and right and you must remember the pattern. It gets more difficult and faster the more instructor that you meet!

There are six dancer to beat to finish the game. and this game is really cute! I know you have never hear about it before.

Compile did not forget this character!! Many years later they release a game for Dreamcast called Puyo Puyo Da! which is rhythm action game. And this game says it has the 'Ellena system'.. well she is also in this game as a special character! Amazing history!
