What you're missing will be explained soon. Episode 10 is a masterclass in story telling and direction. One of the best Anime episodes I've seen.

2023-03-09 02:46:53 +0000 UTCI'm not sure if you have an anime planned out to react to after Made in Abyss, but I'd really recommend Magical Girl Raising Project. It's very similar to Madoka, a dark magical girl show, but it's a lot more focused on action and the whole "Magical Girls fighting each other" aspect. It's also coming out with a season two relatively soon.
