To begin, we have new Loreful units for the Dwarfs and Greesnkins! They add brand new tactical possibilities to these races, as well as expanding on the themed build possibilities for SP and MP - e.g. Forest goblin armies with Spider Riders, Arachanarok Spiders, and nasty Forest Goblin Spearmen. We really want players to be engrossed in the lore and possibilities of the Warhammer world, and make the sandbox experience as best as it possibly can be.
Dawi (Dwarfs):
- Reworked Dwarf Lord: The Dwarf Lords now wield large and powerful runic hammers, and crush their enemies with their blows. We wanted to make the Thane and Dwarf lord feel different, and have a new gameplay role, and we think you'll love how they feel now.
- Shieldbearers: The new high tier elite unit for the Dwarfs, 12 per squad; they closely guard the Lords of the Dawi, and have a protective defensive aura (with a small radius), called "Durak Karin". "Shieldbearers are very strong and stubborn Dwarfs - even by Dwarf standards. They are employed in the personal service of their Dwarf Lord, and act as his closest bodyguard, safeguarding him against all harm."
- Engineers (Grenades): Mid tier support ranged unit, with good damage and disruption; but lighter, faster, but more fragile than Irondrakes; they have a passive aura that supports and buffs artillery a small amount, which stacks with Master Engineers. "Hailing from the renown Dwarfen Engineer Guild, engineers often carry with them an assortment of gadgets and black powder weaponry that has the potential to devastate an enemy regiment wholesale."
- Giant Slayers: More elite and very expensive slayers, with much small squad size; they wield a mix of large hammers and axes. "Most Slayers would die upon their first or second battle against their enemies, but those that survive these battles are considered the unlucky ones. For these slayers, not even a giant has managed to give them the death they so furiously seek!"
Greenskins:
- Black Orc Big'unz: The new high tier elite squad for Greenskins, they have a new passive command aura called "Black Orc Bellow", and are brutal and tough as nailz. "All Black Orcs are huge, brutal, and disciplined killing machines, but the ones who survive many battles continue to grow and become even more intimidating and dangerous, utterly dominating their foes in close quarters."
- Savage Orc Morboyz: Higher tier savage orc big'unz unit, with high damage and enchanted weapons made from slain enchanted creatures (magical attacks, which the Greenskins totally lackright now). Savage Orcs are all mad, but some are more mad than others. Savage Orc Morboys, are huge, frothing savages, completely without any regard for safety or self-preservation, overwhelmed entirely by the power of Gork n' Mork!
- Forest Goblin Spearmen: A versatile, flanking unit, with good speed and damage with "Lethal Poison"; they have guerrilla deployment, and the strider trait, making them great at complimenting Spider armies. "Forest Goblins are a distinct forest-dwelling, spider worshiping, Goblin breed, known to inhabit many forested locations within the Old World. These goblins scour the forests in search for prey to capture and take back to the Giant spiders they serve. "
- Black Orcs (Shields): A tougher alternative to great weapons, these Black Orcs can fight a war of attrition, grinding their opponents down, and serving as the backbone for the Greenskin front line."Black Orcs consider themselves the ultimate Greenskin warriors. Being militaristic in nature, they constantly fight and prepare for the next battle; after battle, they loot the best gear that can be found."
- Night Goblin Spearmen: A unit that better fleshes out the Crooked Moon faction, and gives the Greenskins a cost effective unit to bog down targets, and deal a small bonus to large targets; they have massive numbers of 220 gobbos per unit. "The Night Goblins are truly a creature of the darkness. They swarm enemies with massive numbers, and stab them to death with poisoned spears."
Changes to existing units:
- Empire Pikemen have new look and have a new weapon model to look like longer pikes. They do more damage than Spearmen with shields, and are even more effective vs large and cav units.
- Men-at-Arms (Crossbowmen) have been changed to longbowmen, and are a good hybrid ranged and melee unit, with decent melee and ranged attacks. Are more expensive
- New look for the Wildwood Wardens (look closer to their TT model).
- New Greenskin Giant skin (more tribal look - thanks to the skills of Dryrain!)
- New look for RoR Ironbreakers, RoR Longbeards and RoR Irondrakes (thanks to Dryrain again)
- More balance improvements, and minor bug fixes as always.
Patrons and Subscribers, we are so thankful for your continued support and help to us. We have only been able to release all this new and reworked content because of you, otherwise we would have had to given up modding on this scale by now. sincerely, thank you for allowing us to live our dream to mod and make this the best game it possibly can be for Warhammer fans!
In the meantime, we are preparing for the Norsca release, and will begin modding Norsca and Warriors of Chaos (we will be overhauling WoC with new mechanics and features with the new assets available) once we have access to the game files - which we do not have still at this time. Please be patient with us, and we promise to deliver changes that you can be proud of!
New units can be seen in our Public Discord in #screenshots room.
