There was no reason for Satoko to kill her, because Satoko has no reason to care if anyone figures out the truth AFTER she and Rika die, but once Rena saw it, there’s a chance that she will remember it in a future fragment, especially since there are hints that she’s been remembering other fragments anyway.

This episode was okay but I'm realllllyyy hoping that the next arc is entirely new territory (which it probably will be based on the fact that it'll be called Kagurashi-hen rather than Nekoakashi-hen). This whole season has been so much stuff we've already known.
