Can Cymry see the colour blue? | the 'glas' dilemma
Added 2022-02-23 14:02:21 +0000 UTCIn modern use 'glas' is blue, 'gwyrdd' is green and 'llwyd' is grey, but colours yn Gymraeg are less about definitive shade names and more about interpretations of our environment. Our colours are a lot more culturally influenced than your average Dulux paint chart.
In this video we're going to look at the etymology of these hues & many other Cymraeg colours to try and explain the interpretive nature.
