2021-10-27 21:30:23 +0000 UTCYou are pretty spot on with why it ruined the moment in the post credit, she (unnamed flugel) was just radiating immense power and they felt like she could kill them in any moment, hence the death itself, that is, until she spoke with that sweet voice of hers :D And here is few points about the flying castle 1) most important info about it overall, which is not clearly stated in the episode and anime, that flying castle, Avant Heim, is SENTIENT, and is part of the #2 race PHANTASMA. 2. while being sentient creature of #2 race, it is also homeland of the Flugel, the #6 race which is why sora asked "how the hell am i supposed to play a game with that?" now the references during the scene: 1) the whole flying castle is reference to the 1st ever ghibli movie, "Castle in the Sky". as you might have noticed, the autor took lot of inspiration from other anime/manga (for example the jojo reference in ep3 when they were in the carriage before the game), but always tried to make it as obvious as posible, here he even made "blank" say it outloud. When sora and shiro said "laputa ...", that is the name of the flying castle in the ghibli movie. 2) you can also notice during that scene when they say the name of the castle, their cloths changed aswell, and it changed to the clothes of the main characters of the "castle in the sky" THIS ONE IS A SPOILER FOR ALL THAT WANT TO WATCH "CASTLE IN THE SKY" 3) the censored thing which they said is "Balse", which was used in the movie to take down the castle from the sky
