Play It Again, Sam (1972) Movie Reaction

i see.. i didn't know this, Joy told me about it.. will check Annie Hall for sure. i think slowly we are drifting away from good films.. the more we advance in Technology and Complexity.. we lack Culture.. and that's how we see movies that have no personality at all

ohh i see! so i remember correctly haha. but that movie was good.. too good. this one was a more down-to-earth type of Casablanca movie. with struggles and insecurities. loved it, thank you for the Request!

Wow, your first Woody Allen film and a great introduction. Good choice. I saw this a long long time ago and liked it, but I like his later films starting in the late 1970s. Yes, he was involved in a big scandal in the early 90s and still is. I still watch some of his movies as they are really well made. If you continue your Woody Allen journey, "Annie Hall" is probably his best movie, won an Oscar for Best Picture, Director and Screenplay.

Mr Jordan

Back in the day "Play it again, Sam" was a quote associated with Humphrey Bogart, although it is incorrect. As you recall, Sam is the piano player in Casablanca. First it is Ilsa who says the line, although she says just "Play it, Sam." Then later that night when Rick is getting drunk, he says, "Play it! If she can take it I can."
