Added 2023-05-14 01:55:48 +0000 UTCI think I want to do a questions and answers week with you guys for comics that I have completed and you might want to know information about or not quite sure about something. To say focused on a subject I'll basically just showcase a comic or subject and let you ask your questions on it.
The subject this week: The Cumling DE, Issues 1 & 2.
Let me know of any questions about the series so far that you would like to know in the comments below.

Oh, intriguing. I'm surprised Species isn't listed, given the whole hybrid schtick in the first run

2023-05-16 17:42:43 +0000 UTCWell I wanted to make a classic creature feature horror movie so I looked to the classics The Thing, obviously, Aliens, and Invasion of the Body Snatchers. The original took inspiration from the thing with the design process. This time the beginning is still the thing but will lean more with body snatcher design while some of the traits will be more aliens inspired.

2023-05-16 01:16:41 +0000 UTCSince the first iteration I was wonder where the inspiration for these creatures came from. Now that I've seen the end of the latest chapter, I gotta ask where you got the inspiration for these eldritch-esque atrocities this time around?

2023-05-15 12:12:36 +0000 UTCOh most definitely. Like major changes. Pretty much after this issue, it’s a completely different story. Major plots are removed, character motivations are more defined. I think of it like this, the original was a series based on extreme actions thrust on characters with the main focus on the creature and what it can do. The definitive edition is going to focus on the characters and how they deal in a situation as individuals and a group, while the monster is a part of the story, it’s not the main focus.

2023-05-15 01:41:53 +0000 UTCI noticed there's a significant difference in the changes to DE Ch. 1 and DE Ch.2 compared their originals. In other words, chapter 1 of the definitive edition has less changes from the first edition of Cumling than chapter 2 of the definitive edition compared to the original chapter 2. Will this trend of increasing changes as the story goes be the norm for the entirety of the definitive edition?

2023-05-14 23:52:10 +0000 UTCThe original story was always meant to be a man made creation, disguised as a corporation cover up. As the reader when you first read the comic, you go in thinking it is an outer space creature and then you find out about this organization that knows something about it and then you find out they are actually the ones who created these creatures and why they created them and the result from creating them. The new comic is just fine tuning that story line by making it obvious and also sprinkling a few other details in there through the flash backs of how this all started.

2023-05-14 03:29:59 +0000 UTCOne of the issues i had with the original Cumling is that the horror was split between 2 separated horrors or horror tropes.... A horror from outspace aka horror of the unknown and government manufacturered horror aka man made horror. The current iteration seems to have settled on the latter aka man made horror. What was the reasoning for this decision?
