For Honor in Skyrim I Warlord

Finally a final rework.

After the rework of Warlord, the For Honor series all use directional attack, charge attack, and power attack combo.

In this work, most of the animations have been newly created, and a few new power attacks have been added.

Warlords are animated when equipped with a one-handed sword and shield.

Starting with the first "For Honor in Skyrim MCO I ADXP" mode, I have been working on making all the classes I've made standalone.

After reworking Warlords, "For Honor in Skyrim MCO I ADXP 2.1" is no longer needed, so please remove it.

thank you for the quick reply and great animations, im looking forward to it

It can be done by modifying the DAR condition. But I'm also planning an animation for 1H Axe.

Smooth

is there anything i can do on my end to make this work for 1h axe as well?

Conner Johnson

That's weird, I am using the same as you but still cannot chain power attacks. I does not matter, I am a simple man lol... In a different topic, what is that sword you use in the video? Thanks for the reply

I use the one-click modified vision from the MCO deployment page. It is in use without any setting changes.

Smooth

Thank you for this. Is really really good. However I'm having issues with the power attacks combo, I think with all combos. Can you share with me the One Click Power Attack settings you have? I think my problem are those settings

Antout

I think an additional factor is that we mostly play in 3rd person... usually the moves that would be most effective look really boring - especially from behind. I myself am a big fan of rapiers but I have to admit that fencing movesets just don't look great in 3rd person.

I like your take but spins are fun sure in realistic combat you would get your gets leaking but thats fine Skyrim don't have to be realistic entirely :D

Artorias

Fair enough. Since I did fighting in the past sometimes I get hung up on those details sometimes lol. It is a fantasy game at the end of the day and the quality and style of your animations are the best I've seen so far. Thank you for at least taking the time to read my previous comment.

Good comment, but I'm not making a medieval battle simulator animation. I don't like flashy things either, but I think it's appropriate for games right now. Like your taste, this is my taste

Smooth

Very well animated I particularly like the 2nd normal attack where the shield is brought back up for protection while the sword arm is attacking.... That being said... the spinning power attacks are really bad. Spin attacks are bad hollywood tropes. It's really showy and flamboyant. It basically says "kill me please I'm exposing my back to you" With the precision mod on this vulnerability is a real thing in skyrim as well. Enemies can attack you and stagger you while your back is exposed. Where as with the other realistic attacks the enemy will often collide with your sword or shield. You can do the same large swings but without spinning around exposing your back. You could even use the shield to cover the attack or as part of the sword swing. Another one you could do more attacks where you have the shield up and do stabs over the shield. You could even do an charging attack with a stab over or under the shield. Even a jumping stab attack with the shield out front and then stabing over the shield at the last second. Honestly anything other than a hollywood spin attack lol. Here are a couple of great videos that show historically accurate medieval sword and shield fighting techniques that you could use for inspiration if you wanted to pursue alternative power attacks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngkProWrlME Fight starts at 2:25 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACBXbJd80a0 This one isn't sword and shield but according to experts it's probably the best longsword fight on camera to date. Both historically accurate and very fast paced: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cn36Pb8z3yI
