He was the guy Samuel L. Jackson got out of jail and put in the trunk of his car.

oh yesss those movies are niceee. we haven't watched Pretty Woman yet.. gotta make a list for all the movies that we watched

glad you did! haha i don't know.. maybe bcuz it all happens it sounds stressful for some folks to deal with Christ Tucker haha. or maybe bcuz they are always in the middle of something.. and even though it looks stupid, they some how manage to over come the situation.. not far from Lethal Weapon if u ask me

i see.. well i am not surprised why so many comedians are canceled.. the left wing don't like close to the truth jokes.. but anyway, we gotta watch more movies of this guy ^_^ thank you for the suggestion

ohh nice! should watch that for sure! i don't remember where we saw him in Jackie Brown though... hmmm

it truly is funny! we had a blast!

I would also add to the list, "A Clockwork Orange", "Quantum of Solace" and my personal favorite, "12 Monkeys".

Mr Jordan

Thx guys. I will say it's a good title in that it's memorable. But I throw it in with other good movies where the title doesn't have anything directly to do with the movie. Braveheart, Jaws, Pretty Woman, There Will be Blood, Reservoir Dogs.

If you think about it, rush hour, when used to describe the times when cars are packed on the highway and moving very slowly, doesn't make sense either. It should be called slow hour or crawl hour. But that just sounds weird, so Rush Hour it is.

Mr Jordan

I had that question too. Then I thought about it this way -- one of the lines at the beginning of the movie is "No problem, just rush hour". It made me think... if you rush through everything to get to the end goals, there are no problems because you don't have time to worry about problems, only enough time to get to solutions -- often comically and foolishly (like in the phrase "fools rush in where angels fear to tread.") And, the oxymoron of rush hours is the fact that during rush hour traffic all you have are problems with no one able to rush to get anywhere, looking for some way, any way, to get out of it. Sometimes the best places to find comical fools are those people that do the crazy things to get out of rush hours.

Sam Johnson

Dude, seriously. I've always wondered that myself.

I enjoy these movies, but can anyone tell me why they're called Rush Hour? lol

Ellie Miller

Thanks for doing this. I've been looking for an excuse to watch this again. I used to watch the trilogy with my son and watching a movie with a kid always makes me look at it through different eyes. Chris Tucker did a few movies. THE FIFTH ELEMENT, MONEY TALKS and FRIDAY. I think he's a little cancelled now, but some of his movies are still hysterical.

Philip Davetas

You were right. Chris Tucker started out as a comedian, so this role was a natural for him. You guys already saw him in Tarantino's "Jackie Brown". He had a small part as Beaumont Livingston. He's also great in "The Fifth Element" starring Bruce Willis. Really wild and crazy, but hilarious. You will never forget him in that movie.

Mr Jordan

I rewatch this every few years or so and it never stops being funny.
