You're not foolish! I've seen this ep a million times and always think it's odd how it cuts from Hank in the elevator to a parking lot without establishing where he is. The directing and editing is so flawless on this show, I would guess that they ran into a last-minute issue and chose to have Hank hold the flowers to establish he's in a new location. Just a guess though :)

Yeah it was annoying she was worried about that instead of being wrapped up in the moment. This scene was up there with any movie I’ve ever watched. I almost had a heart attack too watching it.

Hank wasn't in the DEA parking lot. Remember that he had flowers so that was a grocery store lot.

It's crazy that as different as Europe and the US are in their specific situations regarding gun laws, both cultures end up endangering people unnecessarily. Let's say in Europe, store owners should be able to carry self defense weapons to stop potential harm from criminals. But maybe they don't have as much deadly crime because guns are not available, so it is not needed, but they might. Here in the US, many small businesses owners/clerks carry weapons to defend themselves, because crime is very, very rampant, because guns of all types are allowed everywhere, without the need for permits nor as heavy regulations as owning and driving a vehicle because the Second Amendment guarantees the right of gun ownership, the Courts have ruled. Fifty States in the US, some more strict than others, they can just import banned guns from nearby less strict States. In the case I mentioned before, the cops in Uvalde did not go in to the school because of incompetence and cowardice while the parents wanted to rush in but the cops stopped them. 19 children and 2 teachers dead. In Boulder Colorado last year 10 people were killed at a supermarket, the cops rushed in within 4 minutes and one of them was killed, but that stopped more deaths. Here in the US, you get shot going to the movies (last year 2 teens shot inside by a crazy person for no reason in the theater my sister used to work at in my city), 12 killed and 70 injured at the Dark Knight Rises premiere in 2012, to the supermarket (many videos lately on Twitter), to school (20 children, 6 adults in Sandy Hook Elementary in 2012 and many other shootings before and after) to church, to concerts ( I was working at a gas station store at night, in 2017, and 2 people stopped by on their way to Vegas because their relatives had gone to a concert where one guy killed 60 people shooting from a 32nd floor of a Las Vegas hotel) you get shot at work parties (the 2015 San Bernardino shooters killed 14 and injured 22, and the rifles they used were given by a friend that bought them in the gun shop down the street where I worked.) Anyway, although I think one should learn proper gun safety living here in this country ( I love practice shooting) I think we gained the means of defending ourselves from the same tools we use to defend ourselves and the manufacturers who sell the guns get rich. Crazy, insane and utterly stupid.

i see. here in Europe, we don't really have shootouts bcuz is very hard to own a lethal Gun. in fact if you want to own a weapon in Europe you will have to have a good reason for doing so.. nobody has the right to own a gun here unless your life is in real danger.. also on top of that.. if you fire the gun even in self defense.. you have 50% chance to go to prison just bcuz those cases are rare.. and we have a stupid law called ''even weapon'' like if an attacker enters ur property.. u have to defend urself with a weapon that matches his.. u cannot shoot someone that has a knife.. unless he/she has a gun also.. stupid laws right?

Remember, this takes in the US extremely vast and spread out, shootings every single day, and even the cops in a certain city would not go into a school to stop a shooter for an hour and fourteen minutes, even if it took them 3 minutes to arrive. Here, the whole scene takes around 3 minutes. Surely in Europe, it is more densely packed, more people around, but I would think the cops there would arrive in around 3 to five minutes as well. Here it just feels longer because of the stressful situation.
