Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019) Full Movie Reaction

oh really?? didn't recognize that one! niceeee

So many Easter Eggs in this one. Did you guys recognize "Momma Bear" Squeaky Fromme(Dakota Fanning) from "Man on Fire"? Hahaha. Everyone who grew up in the 70s and 80s were waiting for the ending. We all knew where the film was going. Nice to see Manson's filthy hippies get what they deserved.

yeah Tarantino loves classic things.. and he ain't wrong about it.. oldies had more culture and style.. even though those times were more dangerous in a way.. and yes Joy found out that Charles Manson was connected to those hippies in the movie.. or related better said

oh didn't know most of these! Cliff got away with murder also? no wonder.. back then in the 50s technology was still premature, and it was hard to track someone without hard evidence... but we enjoyed the movie a lot! it was like u said Ellie ''a hangout'' and sometimes those movies come like a sherry on top of a cake!

Yeah.. this is a sort of parody type film Tarantino made here... He's really just showing us what influenced his style of film making and what he grew up watching.. The Sharon Tate angle is an alternate universe story about her and her friends surviving the Charles Manson murders back on August 9th of '69..

wow.. it was obvious we didn't know anything about this film. So the "Charlie" the girls kept talking about is no other than Charles Manson. We heard about Charles Manson but we didn't know he killed Sharon Tate, the actress... and yea.. this film is like a"what if" film. Amazing...in the end... Tarantino doesn't disappoint. He loves to change history on his own terms.

At its heart, the movie really is just about Tarantino's love for this time period. He wanted to remind everyone of what it was like to live in Hollywood in 1969. All of those random TV shows we hear Jake talk about but people today have no clue about, they're the TV shows he loved when he was a kid. He wanted to recreate LA with a Drive-in movie theater and Cliff riding in his Volkswagen on Hollywood Blvd with all of the old neon signs and store fronts. Quentin Tarantino loves feet, but he loves the past even more. I think he'd prefer to live back then. I read an interview where he said he still reads the newspaper everyday and only uses a flip phone. Personally, I've enjoyed Once Upon a Time in Hollywood more and more every time I watch it. It's a hangout movie more than a "what's going to happen next" movie. It's just nice to be with Cliff while he cooks dinner for himself and his dog (whoever thought we'd see Brad Pitt make mac and cheese). Or we can sit in Jake's living room while he watches himself on TV. And if you're wondering, yes Cliff did kill his wife. From the novelization, "This wasn’t the first time Cliff committed murder and got away with it. The first time was in Cleveland in the fifties. The second time was when Cliff killed his wife two years earlier."

I did not expect this to be a 'what if?' film, I thought it was going to be something different. You guys picked up on it a little bit but yeah in reality Sharon Tate was the one killed, and she was eight months pregnant, by some of Charles Manson's cult members. So this is a 'what if they went to the neighbor's house?' sort of thing. Interesting, it left me a little sad at the end though knowing the reality of how things actually went for her.
