Red Dragon (a prequel) is great, and in the very first part you see how Hannibal Lecter was originally captured. I really like the film -- it has a great villain (always makes a better movie). I didn't think much of the sequel "Hannibal".

ohh wow. quite dark role indeed. there comes a great risk for actors too.. once u do couple or bad roles, is hard to be liked for the good ones in the future

don't get us wrong! we did enjoy the film. Anthony Hopkins's performance was next level. We are just a bit scared of serial killers since we watched a documentary of Ted Bundy 2 years ago haha. Digging into the mind of a serial killer can only go both ways, you either get into his mind or the other way around. and yes, Hannibal Lecter is such a villain and so dangerous too because he is a psychiatrist that could easily toy your mind.

Sorry you guys didn't seem to enjoy it. I would skip the other movies then. I just am amazed by Hannibal Lecter the greatest movie villain ever. He's only on screen for 24 minutes!

The Amazon Prime prequel series "Hannibal" was pretty darn good - an excellent thriller and quite disturbing.

There's a prequel and a few sequel to the original. The only one I think worth checking out is the prequel Red Dragon. It still has Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal, and another good investigation story in itself. Hannibal is the direct sequel, but not as good the other 2. The rest of them don't bother, as they don't have Anthony Hopkins at all.
