Progress Update

I got a lot of work done on the game this weekend -- being able to spend my few sitting hours on game dev instead of day job helps a lot. Sadly my disability retirement has been pushed off, probably 150 days out at this point, so things may stay a bit slow. Bleh. But! Progress is Progress.

I've tested Azathoth's scenes, start to finish, all branches. Only ran into one bug when I used "player" instead of "you" for the main character's dialogue and RenPy panicked. I've done my editing passes and I'm happy with the dialogue, but this is the most sensitive of the bunch since it deals heavily with acceptance and bigotry regarding trans folks, so I am MORE than receptive to feedback once the next beta goes up.

I've also edited up six scenes of Cthulhu voice acting! This is a bit slow going because I'm using some clunky tools -- there's a good automated audio processor available but it costs $300 and I'd rather just learn how to do it myself and build my skillset instead. I love all aspects of game dev... writing, UI, coding, audio work, everything. And the more I can learn to do myself the more likely I can continue doing it in the future.

Once I'm done getting Cthulhu's voice into the game (or if I just feel like it's taking too long and I wanna push the rest off to the Yog beta) I'll package up a release for everybody.

Milestone wise, we're looking at three more beta releases minimum:

More to come!
