Apologies for this being a bit late, traffic was pretty bad and I didnt get moved into my apartment until after midnight!
First we have some concept art of the four proposed classes of Deadnet.
Hacker: The mage type character. His energy regenerates every turn to ensure he has a steady supply of spells, but his HP is low. Picking this class makes gameplay revolve around choosing the right spell for each enemy.
Bruiser: The warrior type character. He every time he attacks he has a chance to go into a rage mode and deal double damage. The Bruiser has little natural talent for magic, so picking this class makes gameplay revolve around conserving resources and wiping enemies out quickly.
Websurfer: The rogue type character. The Websurfer can't deal a lot of damage but has a good amount of energy and an unrivaled amount of HP thanks to his cartoon character endurance. Strategies involving status effects and gradual damage work very well with this character, letting him outlast anyone. His unique power is that he comes with an extra life, which might let players be extra daring with him.
Scavenger: The jack of all trades type character. He has equal talent for spells and combat, and his buff bod gives him more equipment points so he can wear more equipment and stronger equipment from the start. This character makes the gameplay tilt in no specific direction, being the most well rounded and capable of a variety of strategies. He does not have any of the unique traits of the specialists though, so he'll never outpace them in their best function.
After this we have a conceptual enemy design with a forest bandit goblin, and some test renders of Thanos and Russ Rammer on the stage of Russ's show: Will it Break, which might also be the name of the game.
I'll be back Thursday with some more content, I plan on coding the map system for Deadnet today so if all goes well I'll be showing that off as well as anything my artists got.
Have a great day! :D
