Fan Game Vs. Original Property
Added 2021-07-08 17:00:05 +0000 UTCI did some research, and Capcom has sent a few cease and desists out. They've also given at least one fan game their blessing but there's no chance they'd do the same to a gay porn game. Since Resident Evil is early enough in development changing the plot would be no real hassle so this is the best time to do so. I wanna ask you guys: Would you have a problem if Resident Evil became an original property? We'd still use our Barry Burton and Chris Redfield models since they're completely original, but they wouldn't have those names (Jack Greenlake?)
An additional benefit to using original characters is being able to do things classic Resident Evil isn't known for, like having the main character walk into a room and hallucinate an orgy going on in front of him for a few seconds.

Yeah, best to head this problem off before it happens. Let’s not rely on the multi million corporation feeling nice.
