I think Chen Yi thinks that he loves his boss but it's daddy issues so he admires him more than loves him so he was sad that he disappointed him. Although he was drunk and wasn't totally there, when Ai Di's tear falls on his face, you see almost a moment of recognition as he really looks at him and I feel like he was truly thinking of Ai Di in a new light so although the drunken night wasn't great, I feel like Chen Yi was upset that his first time with Ai Di was treated like a "hit it and quit it" because he left him right afterwards, like he abandoned him. Such a jumbled mess haha.
