As much as I love them together and want to root for them, it's definitely not the right time for them to be together while Zong Yi is a minor.
I keep thinking about one of the first lines from episode 1 when Zong Yi says "it's been 4 years."
Which means they part way sometime before March 2019.
I originally had a theory that the next episode will open with Ze Rui stopping the kiss. They've also been teasing that the gang has been wanting to relocate Ze Rui elsewhere, but he keeps on insisting to stay.
But seeing Ze Rui interacting with Zong Yi's family in the episode 7 preview is confusing!!!!
I think that maybe after meeting Zong Yi's family, there will be more angst and that will trigger the 4 year time jump to March 2023.
UGH, we miss them already. I can't wait for next week!
