Media Watch (this news show is great)
Added 2026-02-05 11:24:02 +0000 UTCOk, so this is a bit out of the realm of what I usually do (although I am considering reacting to Last Week Tonight this season).
This show is basically a media watch dog show, I explain at the beggining of the video what makes it more unique than anything else on Australian TV/Streaming/YouTube.
So if you like informative and easy to follow stories about corrupt news media and examples of what they do on a weekly basis that hurts the public's ability to have honest information available.
Its fairly entertaining, and I am considering doing this 15 minute episode each week for Patreon (maybe even for all tiers). But it will all come down to the views on this video and the engagement in the comments.
This episode discusses Saturated Coverage of the Australian Open, The Shooting of Alex Pretti and the Promotional Approach of the Melbourne Metro Subway grand launch.
Its dry, but its very entertaining, the host is great, and I hope you have a watch if you are into this kind of thing.

2026-02-05 21:35:49 +0000 UTCI remember watching this show with Paul Barry for many years (back when we watched tv instead of streaming), his dry sense of humour and sarcasm were top notch and this guy will do well too. Another show I love along similar lines is Gruen, calling out the advertising industry.
