2025-09-15 16:41:55 +0000 UTCFrom what I understand the contestants have full freedom to go wherever they want, but they do have to move at a given interval, so can't just slip away and then hide for a month. They also have to make a certain number of phone calls, transactions with credit cards, ask for rides with members of the public etc. and give access to social media profiles for monitoring. That way there is a certain pace of the pursuit. But they really were out there for a week and a half hiding away, and apparently there is a lot left on the cutting room floor, I think they said they had multiple Michelin meals along the way. I wish there was a full four episode series of each team, especially since a couple of the other ones were dire watching. And the control room scenes are awful, just awful filler.
