NZ S2 is one of the best seasons of TM ever so you should absolutely watch TMNZ. S1 has some teething problems at first but still has plenty of moments that I don't think deserve to be skipped.

2024-04-11 15:47:51 +0000 UTCI'm also all for you going straight to NZ S2 after this. You should at least get to it before UK S13, because that's when Alex started making his own versions of tasks from that season. (The Down Under versions aren't allowed to copy tasks from the original though.)

2024-04-11 12:58:08 +0000 UTCSo sad this season is coming to an end but looking forward to the next episode which has one of the best breakdowns on Taskmaster in my opinion. I think watching NZ may be a breath of fresh air but honestly I would skip straight to S2. I love the show but actually had to give up on S1 as it was just not doing it for me. The dynamic of Greg and Alex can never be replaced but they are a bit more in their stride in the 2nd season and the cast…just absolutely brilliant. Some of the most chaotic scenes in TM history. Easily on my top 3 of any TM season ever. As someone else mentioned UK S10 was the first of 3 seasons that was affected by Covid so it definitely feels a bit different to the other seasons. Big differences are that there is no studio audience so you loose a bit of that energy I feel. Also due to social distancing the cast couldn’t interact/hangout before recording in the studio like they normally do so they don’t (IMO) have as much of a rapport with each other that a lot of the other seasons do that allows for lots of easy banter. About 95% of the tasks were recorded before restrictions which is good but in the end that meant one team had to film their team tasks with restrictions so there is a bit of a difference in that regard. For being the first Covid season they did really well and it’s helped a lot by having a great cast.

2024-04-11 11:36:09 +0000 UTCAs a massive taskmaster fan, one of my top 3 favorite seasons of taskmaster is season 2 of New Zealand. The line up is just magical. I laughed so hard once on break at work my boss thought I was legitimately having a breakdown haha I would go for it, but it is whatever you are comfortable with my friend :)
