Growing Circle was the first full 3D comic I ever made that was in any of my shops. It was a long time dream to have it remade in illustrated format, but unfortunately it was rough when it finally happened. The pencils were late and difficult to get what I wanted due to language issues. The inks were late. The colorist was late. Only the letterer was fast. I was happy that I got to try it, but was glad to bring it back to 3D to avoid the above headaches. Since then I now work with artists that are better with time and can deliver without headaches like the ones I went through for Growing Circle illustrated. Back then it was a brutal realization of how much easier 3D was for me, even though Id spend weeks working on just one comic in 3D. It was far less than months for one 20 page comic.
Anyway, here is one of my favorite pages from the comic, for all the reasons. Sleepy ZZZ's while she is growing and clothes ripping, and one of my favorite characters from the story to write.
