Well canon means it's restricted to the rules of the setting and with the hornyzone (non-canon) it's basically "what if" scenarios like crack-ships and what not. So for example in the hornyzone you can have "Fran x Wally". That doesn't happen in the main story since Fran is married so it's exclusive to the hornyzone.
